Bessesmer City Purple Tigers

The 6a Bessemer City Tigers defeated the 7a Spain Park Jaguars 42 - 35. The stars of the game for the Bessemer City Purple Tigers included Rishard Densmore with nine passing attempts for 223 yards and two touchdowns and 89 yards rushing for two touchdowns, Deontae Hall with 22 attempts rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns, and JaMichael Rogers with four receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Bessemer City had a total of 489 offensive yards with 223 passing yards and 266 rushing yards. With the win, the Purple Tigers increase their overall record to 2 - 0. McAdory Yellow Jackets

The 6a McAdory Yellow Jackets shutout the 4a Dallas County Hornets 58 - 0. The stars of the game for the McAdory Yellow Jackets included Desmon Dortch with 4 passing attempts for 77 yards and a touchdown and a rushing touchdown, Austin Clarke with 82 yards rushing and a touchdown, Jaylon Carter with 57 rushing yards and a touchdown, Aden Boyd with 2 touchdowns, De’arrion Riddle with 26 yards rushing and a touchdown and 25 yards receiving, Josh Wilson with 34 yards receiving and a touchdown, and Conner Chapman with 1 field goal and 7 extra points for 10 points. With the win the Yellow Jackets improve their overall record 1 - 1 and next will play their first regional game against the 0 - 2 Northridge Jaguars at home.

Oak Grove Tigers

The 4a Oak Grove Tigers were defeated by the 5a Corner Yellow Jackets 45 - 0. The Tigers had 120 total offensive yards on 56 plays including 117 rushing yards and six first downs. The Oak Grove Tigers overall record slides to 0 - 2, next they will take on the 4a (1 - 1) Haleyville Lions in the first regional game at home.

Midfield Patriots

The 3a Midfield Patriots shutout the 2a Tarrant Wildcats 22 - 0. The stars of the game for the Patriots included Dominic Pruitt rushing five times for 96 yards and a touchdown, Karsten Threatt with five rushes for 80 yards and a touchdown and five tackles and two sacks, Jeremy Johnson with seven tackles and Ahmad Frost with two sacks. The Patriots get their first win of the season, and next will host the 3a (0 - 2) Holly Pond Broncos in their first regional game.

John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers

The 6a John Carroll Cavaliers won a close game over the 4a Leeds Greenwave 34 - 33 in two overtimes. The stars of the game for the Cavaliers include Jharod Johnson with 16 passing completions for 221 yards and three touchdowns, Aaron Mason with nine rushing attempts for 46 yards and 28 receiving yards and a touchdown, Spencer Drouin with a touchdown, Jeremiah Gibbs with five receptions for 139 yards and two touchdowns. John Carroll had 310 total offense with 89 rushing yards and 221 passing yards. With the win, the Cavaliers improve their overall record to 2 - 0 and will host their first regional game this week against the 5a (0 - 2) Fairfield Tigers.

Pleasant Grove Spartans & West Blocton Tigers

The 5a Pleasant Grove Spartans defeated the 4a West Blocton Tigers 28 - 6. With the win, the Spartans improve their record to 2 - 0 and next they will go on the road to start their regional play against the 5a (0 - 2) Briarwood Christian Lions. The loss for the West Blocton Tigers slides their overall record to (0 - 2), next the Tigers will host the 4a (2 - 0) Sipsey Valley Bears in their first regional game. 

Brookwood Panthers

The 6a Brookwood Panthers were shutout on the road against the 4a Northside Rams 40 - 0. The stars of the game for Brookwood was Ethan Armstrong with nine completions for 73 yards and 18 rushing yards, CJ Cummins with 40 yards rushing, and Ty Gardner with 40 yards receiving. With the loss, the Brookwood Panthers overall record slides to (1 - 1), next the Panthers will start their regional play as they host the 6a (2 - 0 ) Paul Bryant Stampede.

Fairfield Tigers

The 5a Fairfield Tigers went on the road to Georgia to face-off against the Griffin Bears and lost 44 - 6. Fairfield got their only touchdown game of the game on a 38-yard pass from QB Eric Handley to Stephon Stanley. The stars of the game for the Fairfield Tigers included Omar Young with 118 yards passing, Eric Handley with 85 yards passing and a touchdown, and Malachi Bennett with 118 yards receiving. The loss slides the Fairfield Tigers overall record to (0 - 2), next the Tigers will face-off against the (2 - 0) John Carrol Cavaliers on the road as they start regional play.
