The Rock Creek 12 U Eagles were crowned the Dizzy Dean Freshman World Series Champions on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Snowden Grove Park in South Haven, Mississippi, by defeating Limestone County Legends 8 - 2. The Eagles went undefeated in the World Series.  

In the first game of their World Series run, Rock Creek Eagles defeated the DC Tigers by a score of 18 - 4. Rock Creek had 13 hits in the game, with Nolen Beck, Caleb Bailey, Cam Crump, Jacob Burr, and Jackson McKinney, each having multiple hits. Jackson McKinney had a home run in the 4th. The big inning for Rock Creek was in the 5th as they scored 9 runs coming from RBI’s from Jackson McKinney, Jonah Fitzgerald, Brock Tuggle, Brodie Fitzgerald, and Nolen Beck. Rock Creek had 4 players Jacob Burr, Cam Crump, Mikey Russell, and Christian Velazquez, with two stolen bases each. Rock Creeks pitching crew consisting of Mikey Russell, Brock Tuggle, and Jackson McKinney held the Tigers to only 4 hits and 4 runs, serving up 6 strikeouts.

The second game in the World Series for the Rock Creek Eagles was a shutout victory over the Hixson Wildcats 16 - 0 thanks to the pitching duo of Chrisitan Velazquez and Nolen Beck. The pair only allowed 1 hit and struck out 6 in the short 4 inning game. Rock Creek had 13 hits in the game, lead by Nolen Beck, Jacob Burr, and Caleb Bailey, each with multiple hits. The big inning for the Eagles came in the 4th as they put up 8 runs. Rock Creek had an astounding 14 stolen bases to help them secure the victory with 5 from Nolen Beck, 3 from Jacob Burr, Caleb Bailey, and Jackson McKinney, each with two, and Christian Velazquez and Jonah Fitzgerald with one each. 

The Rock Creek 12U Eagles and the Limestone County Legends 12U faced off in the third game. The game was tied at 3 - 3 until the top of the 5th when Rock Creek scored 9 runs and held off Limestone in the bottom of the 5th to win the game 12 - 6. Brock Tuggle broke the tie on a double, scoring two. The other runs in the 5th inning came on a single from Jacob Burr, a double from Christian Velazquez, a single from Mikey Russell, a passed ball from Cam Crump, a single from Jonah Fitzgerald, and a triple by Jackson McKinney. Rock Creek had 11 hits and 12 stolen bases. Rock Creeks pitching came from Nolen Beck and Christian Velazquez, who combined to strike out 4 and only allow 4 hits. The loss for the Limestone County Legends sent them to the loser bracket, but they battled their way back to face the Rock Creek 12U Eagles again in the championship game. 

In the World Series Championship game between the Rock Creek Eagles 12 U and the Limestone County Legends 12U, both teams held each other scoreless in the 1st inning. The Eagles started the scoring in the 2nd inning on a double from Mickey Russell to bring in Cam Crump. Mickey Russell scored the 2nd run for Rock Creek in the 2nd inning on an error to make the score 2 - 0. The Limestone County Legends tied up the score 2 - 2 in the bottom of the 2nd with two runs on a tag-up pop fly and a single. In the top of the 3rd, Rock Creek’s Mickey Russell broke the tie on a ground ball to shortstop bringing home Jacob Burr. The next score for the Eagles came on an error allowing Cam Crump to score. Caleb Bailey increased the lead for Rock Creek in the 3rd inning with a single ground ball allowing Mikey Russell to come home. Rock Creek increased their lead to 6 - 2 in the top of the 5th on a single from Caleb Bailey to bring home Cam Crump. In the top of the 6th inning, the Rock Creek Eagles would increase their lead 7 - 2 as bases were loaded, and Christian Velazquez was walked to bring in Nolen Beck. Rock Creek would put one more run on the board as Jackson McKinney would score on a passed ball giving the Rock Creek Eagles the victory by a score of 8 - 2. Rock Creek had 11 hits in the game. On the mound for the victory for Rock Creek was Christian Velazquez, who pitched for 4.2 innings striking out 7 batters and only allowing 2 hits. Caleb Bailey came in the 5th and finished the game allowing 0 hits and striking out 2.
