Grandchildren of the legendary NASCAR driver Neil Bonnet, brother and sister duo, Justin and Jessica Bonnett, both Hueytown natives have teamed up for the 2019 racing season to take on the big boys. In 2018 Justin was driving for another team as well as driving Jessica’s car but only at the Huntsville Speedway Racing Series. This year they have combined forces to step up to the next level to take on the heavyweights in the Modifieds of Mayhem Series. The brother and sister duo will begin the racing season this weekend at the Alabama 200 at the Montgomery Motor Speedway.

As a third generation driver, Justin Bonnett has been instilled with a passion and knowledge for motorsports. Justin began his career at the age of 8, racing karts at various tracks in his home state of Alabama. He quickly found success in multiple classes. At the age of 11, Justin made the transition from kart to a car as he competed in the Street Stock division at Birmingham International Raceway, a track that both his father and grandfather won championships. After several races, Justin moved to the Mini Modified class competing at BIR and Montgomery. Upon turning 18, Justin raced his first open-wheel modified car, once again finding victory lane. This time in the limited division at Sayre Speedway. The car this year is sporting the # 12 in honor of the legend Neil Bonnett that raised them and instilled the passion for racing in the them. This year Justin and Jessica are sponsored by Ingle Demolition and Salvage and are currently seeking more sponsors.
