The Jefferson County Board Of Education approved the hiring Coach Bart Sessions of the McAdory High School Yellow Jackets. Sessions has an impressive resume he was the head coach for McGill-Toolen Yellow Jackets from 2011 - 2013 were he had an impressive 34 - 5 record. During his coaching career Sessions has had an overall record of 47 - 27. During his 3 seasons with McGill-Toolen in Mobile, he went 11 - 2, 11 - 1 and 12 - 2 with an incredible overall record of 34 -5 and almost made it to the Class 6A Championship in 2013.
Sessions served as defensive coordinator for the Spain Park Jaguars in 2014 and 2015 and helped lead them to the Class 7A Title game in 2015. Under his direction as defensive coordinator, the Jaguars recorded a school record of 4 shutouts, beat Hoover Twice and held opponents to only 10 points a game.
Before becoming a head coach at McGill-Toolen Sessions won three state championships as an assistant coach one at with the Daphne Trojans and two with the Prattville Lions. He also served as an assistant coach at three Mobile area schools B.C. Rain, Shaw and Davidson.
Sessions was the head coach of Tuscaloosa County Wildcats for the 2016 season, and for the last two years, he has been the head coach of Gadsden City Titans. At Tuscaloosa County he went 2 - 8 and the previous two years with Gadsden City his record was 3 - 7.

Session's is replacing Coach David Powell who was the coach of the Yellow Jackets for 25 years with a record of 219 and 77, led McAdory to the playoffs 24 out of the 25 years, was the only the 5th coach in Alabama history to 200 games at the same school in the top 2 classes and is the winningest Coach in Jefferson County Schools.
Sessions steps into one of the toughest 6A regions in the state taking on the head coaching role at McAdory. The Yellow Jackets are in Class 6a Region 4 which is home to Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa, Hueytown, Bessemer City, Northridge, Paul Bryant, and Brookwood.
