Ryan Howard was recently appointed as the new Principal of Hueytown High School. Howard previously served seven years as Assistant Principal at Hueytown High School. Before coming to Hueytown High, Howard worked as a Social Science Teacher at Booker T. Washington High School in Tuskegee, Alabama, for seven years. During his seven-year tenure at BTW Tuskegee, he coached football, girls’ and boys’ basketball, and served as department chairperson.
Originally from Tuskegee, Alabama, Howard also attended and graduated from B.T. Washington High. After high school, Howard attended Alabama State University, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in History Education. He also received two master’s degrees from Alabama State University, one in History Education and the other in Instructional Leadership. Howard received his Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S) from Auburn University at Montgomery. He is currently working on his Educational Doctorate Degree (Ed.D) at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
