The Jefferson County School District is partnering with Kikstart, Inc. to continue meal service for students. Approximately 12,000 meals will be available daily.
The program will run on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from April 8th through June 5th. Plans for the summer months will be announced at a later date.
The feeding program will once again be open to anyone 18 years and younger and will be free of charge.
Students will be given breakfast and lunch. In order to minimize contact and maintain social distancing, the program will be curbside pickup only.
“We sincerely appreciate Kikstart for stepping up and helping our students. They are providing a valuable service during this difficult time,” said Dr. Walter Gonsoulin, Superintendent of Jefferson County Schools.
