About the Hueytown Arts Council

Created to support, enhance and grow the Arts in Hueytown, Hueytown Arts Council (HAC) seeks to identify and encourage local artists, projects, and more through the exchange of ideas and resources. The ideas first came to drawing board just over a year ago and has now grown to include a named board of directors, mission statement and planned events.

“Our goal is to serve the people of Hueytown by enhancing our community’s appreciation for and awareness of the arts.” Said Jake Ware, President.

The council will be the first to acknowledge that the “arts” can mean so many things to so many people and they hope to maintain a broad perspective of the various creative efforts in the Hueytown community.

“Hueytown High school has an excellent theatre program! We want to support our local theatre, art, music & much more”, said Ware.

“We are really excited about this opportunity, says Debbie Kiker, Board Member.  “We need the support of the community in so many ways.  Most importantly, we hope the community embraces the many creative and artistic people and events right here in Hueytown.”
