The free Birmingham Can Code Summer Boot Camp will be held at Lawson State Community College June 10 through June 21
Birmingham Can Code is an initiative led by the City of Birmingham, in conjunction with the Birmingham City School and Lawson State Community College. Through Apple’s Everyone Can Code Curriculum, Lawson State will offer a Free two week-long boot camp for middle and high school students that will cover everything from helping students explore basic coding concepts to building fully functional apps. This summer, students will learn to code and learn the fundamental concepts of programming from instructors who are passionate about technology. Our camps allow students to gain programming experience while working on app development, robotics, photography, and more. This technology curriculum was created by Apple Inc., which led to their Everyone Can Code and Create Initiative.
The camp will be held daily at 8:00 am and end at 3:00 pm. Registration is from 7:30 am until 7:55 am.
The camp will be held in the Dr. Perry W. Ward Alabama Center for Advanced Technology and Training on the Birmingham Campus the address is 3060 Wilson Road SW | Birmingham, AL 35221. Lunch will be provided each day of camp.
