BIRMINGHAM, AL- With the release of census data, the State of Alabama Redistricting Committee has been holding public hearings across the state for you to attend and voice your concerns with redistricting.  The last week is upon us for them to receive our testimony about our opinions in our communities.  To help encourage public participation, Alabama Black Women’s Roundtable and the Alabama Election Protection Network will host a town hall to break down redistricting in efforts to help you understand why it is important to provide feedback and voice concerns to the Redistricting Committee about your representation!  Join us Tuesday, September 14th at 5:30 at Lawson State Community College in the Perry W. Ward Technology Building located at 3060 Wilson Rd SW, Birmingham, AL 35221.  Hear from the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Crowd Fellows, Scholars, and more.  Come hear how essential redistricting is in our communities and voice your concerns in the last week of public hearings!!!
